.What got you into writing? I have always loved to write. For as long as I can remember. I took a slew of creative writing classes in college, but I never thought It would go beyond that until my first book idea grabbed hold of me. It was history after that. Six years of studying the craft, building online relations and relentless reading and writing I am working on publishing my 4th novel.
.What is a usual writing day like for you? I cram it in whenever I can! With a full-time career, house, husband and kids my writing time is precious. So any minute I can get to myself, I’m writing. Even if it’s at midnight.
.Do you get writers block? If so, how do you overcome it? YES and I hate it. I just tell myself it’s my brain’s way of taking a break to regroup. I always do my beat writing right after it lifts.
.Are you a plotter/planner when it comes to writing a story? Yes and no. I have a mental outline when I write, but I deviate sometimes and let the story take it’s own course. I love when my subconscious surprises me.
.What was the publishing process like for you,& any advice to aspiring authors? It’s a hard, long, lonely, journey. Research, research, research. Know your market, get an editor and develop thick skin!
.What has been your highlight since becoming a published author? Having my newest release, Strip Me Bare hit Kindle’s top 100 in Contemporary romance!
.Can you share a little of your most recent book with us? And any other books of yours, if you wish. My newest release, as I mentioned before is Strip Me Bare, a contemporary, second chance romance about a law student and a male stripper. These characters absolutely gripped me and I love writing them. Their love is very powerful and they are totally committed to one another to spite the challenges they face being together. Here’s the blurb: “I may have had more lovers than you, and I may take my clothes off for countless women, but you are the only one who can strip me bare.” Do you ever stop loving someone just because they’re gone? Five years ago Ryan Pierce disappeared from Alana Remington’s life without leaving so much as a post-it note behind. He was the one she gave her heart to, her soul to, and her virginity to. So imagine her surprise when she finds him dancing at one of NYC’s hottest male revues as Jack the Stripper. Ryan never stopped loving Alana, and now that she serendipitously dropped back into his life, he’s vowed never to lose her again. But being together has its costs, and challenges Alana isn’t sure she can handle. She finally has Ryan back; but how in the world is she supposed to share the love of her life with half of the women in New York City? I’m working on the prequel now, Stripped From You
.Apart from writing, what do you do in your spare time? Read, cook, hang out with my family, listen to music. Normal stuff. I do love to let my hair down and go clubbing every now and again. I was just at Royal Jelly in Atlantic City and it rocked. The burlesque show was amazing!
.If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional, who would it be & why? Miranda Lambert. Southern culture fascinates me and I know nothing about country music. I think it would be fun to walk a mile in her shoes!
.Do you have anything that you want to say to your readers? Buy my book! You’ll love it! LOL!
