Hello! My name Gisell De Jesus and I reside in Pencil-Vania (a little humor). I was born and raised in this state. I work as a hairstylist since 1999. I have a passion/borderline obsession with makeup, beauty products, wine and reading BOOKS. So I decided to jump into the world of writting and I do not regret it. I hope you enjoy reading my books as much as I enjoy writing them for you.

1.What got you into writing / what made you sit down and actually start something? I always wanted to write a romantic story but when I actually tried to sit and write my mind was blank. Years later I still wanted to write but I just couldn’t do it. So I mentioned it to my friend early 2014 and she kept nagging me to start. So i did!!! I am happy I did.

2.What is a usual writing day like for you, how is it structured? I get home from work, I make sure my daughter is doing her homework, I start cooking and tidy my house. Pets are fed and taken care of. Yes I am that orderly! Then I shower and I sit down in my corner with my laptop and get in character. It just works for me.

3.Do you get writers block? If so, how do you overcome it? I am always watching movies to get back in tune. I also read other books in between and that has been helping me.

4.Are you a plotter or panster when it comes to writing a story?
I am a plotter with my first project. I had to have some plot on paper so I can go from there, and write.

5.What was the publishing process like for you,& any advice to aspiring authors?I had a tremendous help from my friend S.N. Williams, who helped me with the  process. I was clueless due to this being my first project in the writing world. I thank her for that. Advice I can give is to not be afraid to ask questions along the way. There are many people who love to help.

6.What has been your highlight since becoming a published author? My highlight has been that I write stronger male characters POV’s, and I have a strong personality myself so we can relate more.

7.Can you share a little of your most recent book with us? And any other books of yours, if you wish.  My recent book is called “Conflict Of Interest.” It is a romance and erotic story about two attractive lovers in New York City. He is a professional, sexy, romantic and mysterious alpha male who found her! Natalia was a soon to be college graduate, who was wide eyed to the world and thought she knew more than she really did and Evan, well he was the mystery man that she just couldn’t keep away from, the man that plagued her thoughts and made her body sing. He has a secret and she cant figure it out. When she does, will that be a conflict for them? They will fight through that!

8.What audience is your book targeted for, and what genre does it come under? My target is definitely over 18+ and its genre under erotic/romance.

9.Apart from writing, what do you do in your spare time? If i am not at the salon doing hair I am doing family time!

10.What tip would you give to new authors when trying to build a fan-base / get followers and market their books? (What to do and what not to do.) Follow people that read in your genre and interact with them. I am a fan, and when my favorite author replies to me I am doing somersaults.

11.What is the hardest thing about writing? The hardest thing for me is putting the idea in my head on paper. Sometimes I think what I write is not what I want,  and I have to go over it a million times.

Feel free to check out my book on amazon, smashwords, Kobo and B&N for Nook.

J.R. Grant rated it 5 of 5 stars
Loved it! Conflict of Interest wasn’t just a hot and steamy read. The author portrayed the characters in this romantic mystery very well. I fell in love with Evan and Natalia from the get go. Evan was hot, very likable, demanding, and oh so yummy! Natalia on the other hand was a very liked, strong female character. For the authors first book, she definitely did a great job with this one. I, for sure, can’t wait to read more.
